Oh ya! It's Friday!

Happy Friday! Nate comes home in a few hours for the weekend. Yay! I think we'll just kick back and hang out and then on Sunday go up to see my parents who finally come home from Mexico! (poor them) I can't wait to see them. Seems like its been forever! Have a great weekend!

Special moments

Most of the time Harper's attitude is pretty awesome, but sometimes she can become a total monster! She is so determined once in awhile to do what I just told her "not" to do. Surprising. This little clip of our lives was one of those special monster moments. Full baby meltdown. She was trying to climb a stool.

12 Months

The other day I brought Harper to her 12 month check up and realized I never did a true 12 month post....So here it is!

Miss Harper Lynne you are a one year old!!! Holy cow! We brought you to your check up and the doctor gave you an overall 15! because you were doing so great! You weigh 18lbs 14oz and you are 28 inches tall. You have gained 12lbs 10oz since you were born and have grown 7 inches! Amazing! You definitely are a toddler now since you have gone from toddling to pretty much running. You love to dance and I swear can keep a beat with your head and hand. You are drinking whole milk and love it and continue to grow your little palette with food. Strawberries and pancakes seem to be a favorite. You say hi and bye and have a mouthful to say in your own language about everything. You even use your hands when you talk like a little Italian. Its so cute!!!! You love babies and kids, especially your cousins. I love you love you love you! You continue to bring joy and happiness into my heart every second of the day! Happy 12 months sweet baby!

Sunshine+Cousins=Pure Joy

The sun was shining bright on Sunday! We went up for a quick visit with our Benson cousins. Harper was experiencing pure joy running and playing outside with Aurora and Henry. It's so great to watch her have so much fun. I just can not wait (and i'm sure everyone in the  north-east) for the summer to come so we can have more days like this.

Question......

How did my baby get such beautiful blue eyes. I really thought she would have dark features.

And how did my baby manage to get blueberries in her diaper while in her car seat fully dressed onesie and all. Hmmmmm.

The Paper Mama photo challenge - Green

I posted this yesterday with out any introduction....thought that was lame and could use a little explaining. I read a lot of blogs. Some times I think it's weird, sometimes (most of the time) I think it's awesome. One awesome thing is the creative mommy community that is out here. Ding! Ding! Birthday round 2

Last night we had a little dinner and cake at my family's house for Harper's "real" birthday. All day long I felt that I still had my little baby as I bitter sweetly watched the time tick tock away closer to her delivery time 9:52 pm. It felt like new years eve as Nate and I sat in bed with our champagne waiting for the clock to strike (we didn't make it though, new parents=lameness when it comes to staying up). I have to admit that I felt a little scared and sad about the first birthday. All crazy thoughts came to me that time was slipping and I cant control it and I'm going to miss my little baby etc.......but happy to say I woke up this morning and although 9:52 pm came and went she was still my "little baby" and still wanted cuddles and love from her mama as much as she did before I put her to bed.
